  My daughter (10 years old) has asked for it and I bought it a little backwards. But indeed it is very nice!   My 5 year old daughter does not hang. Yet she loves the shows and musicals. I thought I wasn't cheating on me... have to believe that mom is well to plant on this one. She much preferred "DOTHY and the wizard of Oz".... Excellent! I had already seen it twice in the show but I enjoy seeing it also as a dvd, to watch and re-watch! Basically, it is presented as a compilation of songs (excerpts of tv programs). There are in the 140 titles. Each disc also offers a few supplements. Pubs, docs of the era (short), interviews of various times... strong Points :- it is quite watchable (even on a flat screen). - The image format is respected (it is 1. 33 not planed to go on the screens 16/9) - the black & white has not been colorized (phew!). - it makes a good trip in the tempsPoints low :- the songs are "loose" on the 3 dvd... I regret that the designers of the project have not opted for a chronological approach (however, each sequence sung is dated precisely)... One therefore goes from 23 June 1961 to April 17, 1969, to return to the February 11, 1965 and to move on to the 7 October 1972. Big mistake in my opinion.
